About JPLCC
Jesus People Life Changing Ministries Church was founded as the Holy Spirit inspired and ordained Dr. Horace L. Mingo to establish a work of God in the Gainesville, Florida area. The ministry was officially organized as a non-profit church on September 28, 1998.
The first formal church service was conducted on the first Sunday of January, January 19th, 1997. The first service was held at the Sheraton Hotel in the main auditorium. Services then continued at the Holiday Inn West Hotel. The church then moved from the Holiday Inn West Hotel to a store front shopping complex, Glenwood Plaza and grew from thirteen members to over two-hundred fifty members.
By 1999, Jesus People Life Changing Ministries Church then moved into its third facility our central location directly off of 39th Avenue of Gainesville’s Interstate Seventy-Five. Here the ministry continued to grow and is still growing. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved. Acts 2:47.
